Acceptable use policy
What can and cannot be sold with a Recebbe payment page. This list is accepted at sign-up and applies to every account.
This translation is provided for convenience. The Portuguese version is the legally binding one: read it in Portuguese.
Summary: the money from your sales does not pass through us, but our name is in the footer of your checkout. That is why this list exists. If your product is on it, the account is suspended, and your gateway would probably do the same.
1. Why this policy exists
Recebbe is the payment page for thousands of sales that are not ours. A prohibited product sold through our platform damages our reputation, your gateway's and that of every other seller. In addition, many of the items below are prohibited by law, by the card networks or by the rules of the payment arrangement.
2. What cannot be sold
Illegal
- Any product, service or content prohibited by Brazilian law.
- Drugs, controlled substances and accessories for their use.
- Forged documents, fake identities, diplomas and certificates without backing, services to irregularly "clear" debts or fines.
- Hacking services, data theft, sale of personal databases and attack tools.
Piracy and third-party content
- Courses, e-books, software, films, music or any material you do not hold the rights to.
- Licenses, keys or service accounts resold without the manufacturer's authorization.
- "Thousand courses" bundles and repositories of other people's content.
Scams and deception
- Products that do not exist, are not delivered or differ from what was advertised.
- Pages that imitate another brand, another checkout or a government agency.
- False urgency built on made-up data (number of spots, countdown timers that restart, fake testimonials).
- Card testing, processing third-party sales without authorization and any use of the platform for money laundering.
Adult content
- Pornography and explicit sexual content, in any format.
- Escorts and services of a sexual nature.
- Any content involving minors is reported to the authorities immediately, without prior notice.
Weapons, ammunition and explosives
- Firearms, ammunition, explosives and controlled parts.
- Bladed weapons sold as weapons, equipment restricted to security forces.
Medicine and health
- Medicines, including compounded ones, without the required registration and authorization.
- Weight-loss products, anabolic steroids, stimulants and supplements not registered with Anvisa (Brazil's health regulator).
- Promises of cures, miracle treatments and any product that tells people to abandon medical treatment.
- Health services provided by someone without professional qualifications.
Pyramid schemes and promises of earnings
- Financial pyramids, multi-level marketing where earnings come from recruiting, and "investment clubs" with guaranteed returns.
- Courses, mentoring or bots that promise certain earnings, guaranteed income or a specific amount within a deadline ("R$ 10 thousand in 30 days").
- Betting tips, infallible gambling methods and sale of cryptocurrency with a promise of returns.
- Regulated financial services (loans, foreign exchange, investments, insurance) without authorization from the Central Bank of Brazil, the CVM or Susep.
Teaching how to sell, invest or run a business is allowed, as long as there is no guarantee of results and no promise of earnings. The difference between content and a scam lies in the promise.
Other
- Sale of followers, likes, reviews and fake engagement.
- Gambling and betting without legal authorization in Brazil.
- Animals, parts of wild animals and products from protected species.
- Tobacco, vapes and e-cigarettes.
- Raffles and prize draws without proper authorization.
- Products that require a license you do not have.
3. What Recebbe monitors
To keep the platform clean, we automatically monitor risk signals per account: refund rate, card dispute rate, abnormal spikes in declined payments (a sign of card testing) and multiple accounts with the same document. This is not reading your content: these are numbers from the system itself.
4. Reports
Every Recebbe checkout has a way to report the page in its footer. Anyone can use it. A report with consistent evidence leads to a review, and may lead to suspension for as long as the investigation lasts.
5. What happens when the rules are broken
- Warning: when the case is minor and can be fixed (confusing description, exaggerated promise), we notify you by email with a deadline to correct it.
- Suspension: the account stops selling and its links stop opening. You keep access to your data.
- Termination: in serious or repeated cases, the account is closed and the gateway is notified.
- Report to the authorities: in case of a crime, especially one involving minors.
The money from sales already made is in your gateway, not with us: a suspension here does not block your balance there, but your gateway has its own rules and may act on its own.
6. Review of the decision
Disagree with the suspension? Reply to the email that notified you of the decision, with your explanation and any documents you have. We will review it and respond. Automated decisions can be reviewed by a person, as guaranteed by the LGPD.
7. Changes to this policy
This list may grow as new cases appear or as the rules of card networks and gateways change. The version in effect is always the one on this page, with the date at the top.
